You guys! I am dying over the publishing of this insanely beautiful Santa Barbara Courthouse Wedding (Kimpton Canary Hotel Wedding)!
Not only is it just a stunning location in general. But the bride and I cheered together in High School back in the days at Newport Harbor High School, Newport Beach – go Sailors! This was a very special wedding for me – to see my sweet friend marry the man of her dreams and to party at a super fun reception venue with her besties, meant the world to me.
Nate and Michelle got ready at the beautiful Kimpton Canary Hotel, and had a super fun Trolley ride over to the Santa Barbara Courthouse, Sunken Gardens. The architecture, the greenery and the lighting made this ceremony location absolute perfection! It was a FREEZING day, however it worked out just beautifully.
One of my most favorite moments throughout the day was when it came time for the speeches. Michelle was always a super kind, giving and generous girl in high school and college. In fact – she was so kind, people would easily take advantage of her and her sweet soul. So to hear her best lady friends speak so highly of her, and speak so much truth, value and love to her just melted me! I was wiping the tears behind the camera as I documented those moments. I am just so honored to have photographed the best day of her life.
And finally, I just had to add one of her maids of honors was Ashley Jacobs from the Bravo TV show, Southern Charm. She was a doll and so humble and kind as well! To see her and Thomas Ravenel so in love and so focused on one another was heart-warming and genuine.
All in all it was a fantastic day! Thank you so much to Michelle and Nate and both of your incredibly kind families, for having me and for entrusting me with such an important day. I hope you enjoy your story as told below!
